WA Ferry Tracker › Washington State Ferry Terminals
🔔 Free ferry alerts on WhatsAppRoute guides tell you how long the crossing is and when it's busy. Terminal guides cover the part that trips people up on the day: which street to join the line from, where walk-ons park, how bikes board and where to wait. Pick your terminal:
Central Puget Sound
- Seattle ferry terminal (Colman Dock, Pier 52): boats to Bainbridge Island and Bremerton. Car entrance at Yesler Way, the Marion Street footbridge, bike lanes, and parking in Pioneer Square.
- Bainbridge Island ferry terminal: the Winslow end of the Seattle run. The U-Park lot, free walk-on trips back to Seattle, bike rules, busy times and Winslow while you wait.
- Edmonds ferry terminal: boats to Kingston. The SR 104 line rule, train crossings, the overhead ramp and the Edmonds waterfront.
- Fauntleroy ferry terminal (West Seattle): boats to Vashon Island and Southworth. The one-lane line on Fauntleroy Way SW, two-stop boarding order, limited parking, the RapidRide C Line and Lincoln Park.
- Kingston ferry terminal: the Kitsap end of Edmonds–Kingston. How the SR 104 boarding-pass line works and when it's on, parking, free walk-on boarding, and the fast ferry to Seattle.
- Mukilteo ferry terminal (and Clinton): boats to Whidbey Island. The SR 525 ferry lane and two-light entry, no parking at the dock, the Sounder station next door, and the Clinton side.
San Juan Islands
- Anacortes ferry terminal: parking and wait times: the mainland terminal for Lopez, Shaw, Orcas and Friday Harbor, where vehicle reservations matter most.
Tips that apply at every terminal
- Pick a quieter sailing. Our guide to avoiding ferry waits shows how to read WSF's best-times charts and which directions fill on which days.
- Check the cameras first. Every WSDOT terminal page shows live cameras and, at most terminals, an approximate count of drive-up spaces left. Cars still queued outside the tollbooth aren't counted yet.
- Only two route groups take car reservations: the San Juan Islands and Port Townsend–Coupeville. Everywhere else, the line is the wait. Walk-ons and bikes never need a reservation.
- Bikes board first if they arrive about 20 minutes before the sailing. Late bikes go on at the end of the load.
- Accessibility varies by terminal. Some have elevators, some don't. If you need special onboard parking, arrive 30 minutes early and tell the ticket seller.
